Convensa wins the standard gauge implementation contract between the Valencia Nord and Joaquin Sorolla stations (Valencia)

Convensa has won the contract for the execution of the standard gauge implementation works between the Joaquín Sorolla and Valencia Nord stations. The project promoted by ADIF will allow the entry of circulations in standard width in both stations of the Valencian capital.

The section object of action has a length of 2 kilometers and, among others, track works will be carried out with the implementation of mixed gauge on tracks 1 and 2, lifting of tracks that are no longer in use, the assembly of new track devices and the conversion to standard gauge of tracks 21 and 22. Likewise, the catenary will be adapted to the new configuration, the drainage of the platform will be improved, and a new platform will be developed to connect tracks 21 and 22 with tracks 1T and 2T , as well as the replacement of the infrastructure needed to house the security and communications facilities.

The execution period is twelve months and will have an amount of more than 5.5 million euros.
