Convensa Portugal has sponsored the Portugal Railway Summit 2023, one of the most important events in the country's railway infrastructure sector.

A reference in national railway events and organized annually by the PFP – Associação da Plataforma Ferroviária Portuguesa, Cluster da Ferrovia.

With the aim of debating different ideas, exchanging experiences and new visions of innovation for the entire Railway Sector, fostering the interaction of the entire railway sector and stimulating B2B relationships between all participants.

In a context of great plans for the development and future of the Portuguese railway sector, specifically through the National Railway Plan, this event highlights the national investment plans announced in High Speed.

PORTUGAL Railway Summit is an open forum to discuss current trends in the national and international railway sector, specifically the challenges for mobility in 2030 defined by ERRAC and the Strategic Agenda for Railway Research and Innovation (SRIA): Digitization, Automation, New Mobility Solutions, Green Deal and Sustainable Mobility.
Convensa in Portugal is currently executing the railway modernization contract for the section of the Western Line between Torres Vedras and Caldas da Rainha (Portugal).

The objective of the project is to strengthen the capacity and efficiency of the rail transport service, improving availability levels and reducing travel times. The training of the Western Line, up to Caldas da Rainha, for the use of electric traction rolling stock, modern signaling and telecommunications systems and the optimization of the track layout, will reduce the travel time between Caldas da Rainha – Lisbon and Torres Vedras – Lisbon in about 30 minutes.

In Portugal, it has recently completed contracts such as the rehabilitation works of the railway superstructure of the Pinhão-Tua section of the Linha do Douro for the public company Infraestructuras de Portugal (IP).

The works have been carried out in the 12.5 kilometers that separate the towns of Pinhão and Tua, both located on the banks of the Douro River in the districts of Vila Real and Bragança (Portugal).
