Convensa has won one of the maintenance lots for the platform and track of the AV Madrid-Barcelona-French border line, which also includes within its scope the maintenance and upkeep of the Zaragoza-Huesca branch. The awarded amount obtained exceeds 85 million euros and includes the bases of bases of Montagut (Lleida), Vilafranca del Penedès (Barcelona) and Sant Feliu de Buixalleu (Girona).

The actions will consist of preventive maintenance of the infrastructure and superstructure elements of the trace, siding and secondary roads, connection branches, maintenance bases, axis changers and other facilities, in order to maintain optimal status indicators and service provision of the lines, in addition to corrective maintenance to act immediately in the event of an incident.

With this award, Convensa will continue to maintain the Madrid-Barcelona-French border line for another four more years with the option of a fifth, as it has been doing since July 2019.

For the maintenance of this lot in the northeast high-speed corridor, Convensa has human teams and specialized means to attend to the technical complexity and scope of maintenance and conservation activities.
