Equality

In January 2022, Convensa signed its I Equality Plan, which addressed the need to correct the under-representation of women in the company, which is common and widespread in the construction sector in Spain. The aim is to ensure the effective application of the principle of equality between women and men, providing the same opportunities for entry, working conditions and professional development at all levels, with non-discriminatory procedures and policies based on sex in matters of selection, recruitment, promotion, training and remuneration.

  • Improve the balanced distribution between the sexes in different positions and professional categories, incorporating women into the workforce mainly in those professional groups and functions where they are less represented.
  • Promote and improve women's access to the company.
  • Carry out training activities that facilitate the development of professional skills and competences equally, without distinction of sex.
  • Incorporate the gender perspective into the occupational risk prevention policy, taking into account the specific risks and illnesses of each sex.
  • Promote and encourage the reconciliation of work, family and personal life for employees and shared responsibility, and guarantee non-discrimination against people who are exercising their rights to work-life balance in the company.
  • Prevent and respond to possible situations of sexual or gender-based harassment in accordance with the protocol in force in the company and at group level for such cases.
  • Raise awareness and support the integration and protection of female workers who are victims of gender-based violence in the workplace.
  • Promote a corporate culture committed to equality, involving the entire organisation: company management, middle management and the entire workforce.
  • Guarantee equal pay for work of equal value.
  • Use inclusive, diverse and non-discriminatory images and language in documents and all internal and external communications.
