Convensa has participated in Portuguese Railway Summit 2024, a conference organised by the Portuguese railway platform. Convensa has had a strong presence in the Portuguese railway sector for more than five years and had a strong presence at the event. The company gave a presentation on the company's activity in Portugal over the last six years. The current state of the local market was analysed and the different challenges that the sector must face in terms of regulation, innovation, training and talent retention in a market lacking in specialised resources were listed.

The opportunities for strengthening and growth of the branch focused on the future development of conventional, high-speed and metro rail projects in the country's main cities were also emphasised.

Since 2018, Covensa has been developing railway projects in Portugal, where it is executing important actions that are key to the development of the country's infrastructures, such as the improvement of the Linha do Oeste line, the new mobility system in Coimbra and the new Rubi line of Metro de Porto.
